The Flint Street Nativity Play
We'd like to say a big thank you to the Wisbech Players for inviting us to their latest production. We went on Wednesday and were treated to an hilarious and sometimes thought-provoking performance. It was "The Flint Street Nativity Play", written by the author of Calendar Girls, which is being performed by the children of the Flint Street School. The children were all played by adults and the children's behaviour was so well observed and acted that you believed that you really were watching a class of primary school pupils. Keith and I wished this play had been around when we were still thespians, it looked so much fun!
When the same actors return at the end as the parents of the children... well, we'll leave you to find out.
A great performance, well done Wisbech Players!. There is still a chance for you to see it as it is still on tonight and Saturday.
