Chatteris in Myth and Memory book

We attended the celebration of the completion of the, Arts Council sponsored, CPP Marketplace project in Chatteris. Over the year it has involved around 200 people in working together to produce stories and drama and music that have now all come together in this excellent book. Many of these contributors took part in this evening's event which started with storyteller, Polly Howat, and the Fenland Giant, Tom Hickathrift. This was followed by authors of some of the stories in the book delighting us with readings, dramatic interpretations of the stories by students from the Cromwell Academy, music from Cromwell students and a finale from Bondy. What impressed was the range of people who had worked together on the project and the enthusiasm shown.

Thank you Marketplace for a very enjoyable evening and thanks to Katherine Nightingale for organising it and to the artists and publishers of the book, Richard Savage and Marian Savill.
